I have a 2008 kubota v2003 turbo charged 4cyl motor. Heavy black smoke from exhaust after brief warm up. It appears to be pushing/sucking oil thru the turbo charger and into the air intake manifold.I installed a new turbo charger, cleaned and inspected oil tubes to turbo charger, cleaned all aspects of the fuel system and air intake system to ensure there were no blockages. Ran a compression test all 4 cyls at 400lbs each. So if anyone has any leads please help me out. Thanks.

How long has it ran since you cleaned the lines and replaced the turbo? Could be residual oil in the intake manifold or valve stem guides could be leaking.

Black smoke is typically a lack of air or too much fuel (plugged air filter/faulty injector) excess oil usually produces blueish smoke.

ran about 8 to 10 hrs after new turbo.no black smoke at first, took about 2 hrs of running before started smoking under a load.oil was in air intake again at that point.

brain55, I kinda feel like it is a faulty injector/s but why is it pushing any excess fuel/oil mix back thru the turbo charger?? Also oil consumption increased when this started happening. As you all can see i am NOT a great diesel mechanic.

Is there to much motor oil in it.......

The (lack of air/overfueling) could also be due to the turbo being bad (even though it seems unlikely with that few of hours) it could explain the other symptoms.

Take the down pipe off of the turbo (the one that goes to the muffler) and see if there is a lot of oil in there. If there is the turbo was not put back together correct and or the seal is bad.

If no oil than it's a fuel / air issue.

Most likely you've blown an oil seal in the turbo if you have engine lube oil leaking in the inlet or the exhaust. With out direct knowledge of your specific turbo design, that's about all I can say at this point. If it were leaking out the turbine exhaust I believe it would be bluish smoke. If it's leaking into the compressor than it's entering the combustion chamber and essentially over fueling the engine. In this scenario, the blue lube oil smoke may be masked by partially burned fuel which leads to black smoke. Is the coolant temperature staying where it is normally? Is it staying out of the red zone ?
Pictures may help but you definitely want to get this sorted out before operating it any more.
