Mowing Kubota grass cather

running a Kubota shaft driven grass Vacum/ bagger of rear pto,my problem is I keep breking shear pin,has any one run into this problem,it seems to happen more after I have been running it for a while,I am not sure what is causing it,I suspect maybe a bearing some where might be heating up causing pressure on pin. Tractor is Bx23 any help would be appreciated.

It has been a while but I broke a couple, I have been in my B3030 for 4 years now after trading in my BX23 with grass catcher. I could never link the shear pin failure directly to an event like sucking in a stick, or a basketball one time or anything, I just went to engage the PTO and nothing. I had a few on hand and replaced them, got so I could do it pretty quickly.

Something's binding/seizing....most likely bad/going bad bearing, since there's not much else in there. How hard to operate by hand? Unusual noise when running?...

took it all apart today and could not find anything,change the oil in both transmissions,check drive shaft and greased,the only thing I can think is I bought 3 shear pins from my local Kubota dealer and now I am wondering if maybe they are at fault (To soft) I ran it all last summer with no trble but broke one in the fall due to a stick that was replaced by one of the 3 only used it one more time in the fall with no trble,then started using it this spring and have broke all three that I have bought

Shears could be too soft, but be careful...if use harder ones and that's not problem...possibly damage unit...

When stick broke first shear, how long did you run it in fall w/new shear...more or less time than it took to break next 2...you see where I'm going here...trying to determine if problem related to stick incident...
