Kubota GR2110 vs JD X595

1*Don't know where you live but if you want to push snow the Kubota does not offer hydraulic angle on the blade. I really like that feature on my X748.
1*The BX1500 BX1850 and BX1860 do.

2*I do however currently own a GR 2100. Without going into alot of detail, I will never own another one. : )

2*You should have gone with a BX1500 BX1850 or BX1860.

barney , welcome to the club; I too am agonizing between Deere and Kubota-
3*I own neither and am only an expert in used pricing on both and it is insane,
4*The problem with Kubota is that there are so few that come to the used market they will be sold very, very quickly and generally speaking you will find the T's and G's, a GR is rare indeed-for a mid 80's up machine with starting hours in the 500's, count on paying 4k-and believe me when I tell you that 'good' condition is, shall we say, a very relative term.
5*Don't know which way to go.
3*and 4*Avoid the insanity solve the problem check out The BX1500 BX1850 and BX1860.:licking:
5*I was hashing this same thing out back in 2007 .
Gave up on that lost cause and bought 2 BX1500s 1 new and 1 used.
Couldn't have made a better decision.

This is total nonsense. I sat on a BX1500 before I purchased the X475. They were across the street from each other. Kind of convenient when both dealers are right there. Anyway, the BX is a do-it-all but master of none type machine. Nothing wrong with that. Lots of uses for it in fact. But the X700 series is a master lawn mower. With the most important part of that being a lower center of gravity than a BX. I remember a thread where LBrown himself commented on pictures of an X595 being in more precarious positions than he thought were safe. And we X owners didn't think much of it.

The bottom line to me is the main usage. If its just mowing and snow blowing/plowing... the JD X wins hands down. You cannot buy a better all-terrain lawn mower.

As for the GR2110, my neighbor's has been in the shop five times in three years. Each time its been something major. Three weeks ago it was the drive axle. His terrain is about like mine, my X475 just keeps going strong. I never have any troubles at all. I wish I had a diesel to consolidate gas cans but it won't be a GR....

Another wild card in this mix is the Simplicity Legacy, or Legacy XL. They are pretty rugged tractors, and used are generally priced lower than the John Deere's. Since new ones these days are the same price as the Deere, I probably won't buy another new one. When I bought mine, it was a few thousand less than the JD 500X series, not to be confused at all with the current X500 series.

I got my mom a GR2110, she loves it. We have had many lawn tractors over the years, Deere, Cub, Scag. By far the 2110 is the best. Yes we had hydrolic problems at 35 hours. It got fixed and I cant make this thing leak now. The glide steering is a real plus, and its very quiet for a diesel. I would most likely buy another.
