Plowen is a surname of a family in Illinois, and Alden is certainly not an unusual given name.

Anything posted on-line should be considered a public statement- if you don't want everyone in the world to have access to it, don't post it

Try telling that to a teenaged daughter :mur:

Not there yet.....deleted my 10 year old's account when I found out she had one  Although, the big caveat to Face Book- should parents be friends with their children? I am still torn with this. I want to protect my kids but, it would be like hanging out at school or their friends house listening in to all that is said...... no one perfect answer to this.

Dealt with the same issue when I was a supervisor. Confidentiality laws and the internet don't go together. I actually had some face book "friends" un-friend me because I replied to their posts- that they were breaking confidentiality.

I always...always think twice before posting something- even on TBN. Try googl-ing your avatar name from TBN and see what comes up. very surprising.

Well after reading most all of the 129 posts I thought there would be some discussion on how to repair the jerky 3 point issue on the L3400. No such luck.

Can anyone tell me if the 3 point control valve on the L3400 is replaced with a Grand 3 point control valve, would that solve the problem of the jerky 3 point?

I've searched for the Grand valve swap, but cannot find any information.

I just ordered my L3400 Monday and then read about the jerky 3 point later this week.

I can tell you this. My 2005 went back to the dealer right away in 2005 and they ordered a different valve. I don't know if it was a Grand L valve. The dealer never gave me any paper work. They said they found the fix on their web site.

The results of moving the control lever up at a very slow rate were as follows:
Before: the 3PH arms at the ends would jump about one inch at a time.
After: the 3PH arms at the ends would move about 1/4 inch at a time.

This made a huge difference with a mower on the back. It is still not silky smooth like my 1910 is though.

Only the dealers that had replaced the older valves would really know the answer. There was a Rumor/story/B.S. that said the newer models had a "change" / "modification" that no longer allowed the Non-jerky valve to be used anymore.:confused2:  I personally don't believe it...
