Price Check Kubota Foldable ROPS Price

Approx. how much would the foldable ROPS option add to the price of a new tractor? Thanks in advance.

They are standard equipment on most low profile M series and only a few dollars extra on some of the lower priced L series. The key point to mention to your Dealer is liability and your desire for safety and a need for storage and depending on the amount of attachments you order with your new tractor most salesmen will throw it in at no additional charge.
Kubota is dedicated to producing safe products intristically because of the reprecussions faced in product liability law. Check Case Law suit histories pertaining to roll over protection. Ob1... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not all models have that as an option. I think any model CUT or subcompact will have one or the other as standard equipment. I desperately want a foldable for my BX2200, but they don't make one. The BX22/23 have foldable for the BH as it is higher.

Ron... my BX2230D serial number 53731 doesn't have a folding ROPS and I can't remember in the sales literature if it listed one as an option /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif On Ag/bar tires 26x12 12 NHS the top of the ROPS is 71 1/4" high at maximum inflation of 20 psi. You can always fabricate your own. I recommend a structure engineer to check your design and strenght of materials. Beware if a Dealer or Kubota Corporation employee takes note of it, you will receive a certified letter in the mail. Big deal, it's your life you're trying to protect but lawyers are lawyers. Hope this helps make up your mind, it is a little advise from my past experience with Kubota. Ob1

The Simplicity legacy XL doesn't have a ROPS as standard.

Wonder how they get by with that. Only thing I can think of is they aren't a sub compact.

Mr. L do some research please, if there not required why do they " all Tractor manufacturers " recommend and install them? Visit ANSI and OSHA, look at home owner insurance claims, a lack of Tort laws to protect manufacturer from Trial Lawyers and last be not least they have been required by the Williams-Stieger Act ( Public Law 91-596 ) since 1970 on any commericial site. Try to purchase a big M series and tell your Dealer " I don't want a rops " see what's said Sir. It may not be 'codified' where you live for home
owner/residential but give it some time. The more awareness to use ROPS, the safer our society becomes. If I could put one on my T1560 I would. No pun or insults intended. Ob1. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Mine was part of the package but if I remember correctly it was around $200 for the B series. Not much when you are spending 15K... It is a nice opt. and great if you get a backhoe in the future.
