Yanmar 195 and Kubota 2920
I have a 2920 with the LA364 loader that has 80 hours on it. Today I raised the bucket all the way up with a light load, and it would not come down. With the engine off, if I press the lever very gently, it will come down slowly. If I press a little harder it stops. If I press hard, past the detent, it comes down, engine running or not. The bucket works fine. The dealer told me it was one of the quick disconnect hydraulic couplers was loose. I removed and replaced all four, but no joy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help

Nice pictures and fabrication work. The brush trimmer looks great, although a little scary. I just mounted a sicklebar on a loader to do the same thing.

As far as the loader problem goes, it sounds like there is something in the lowering circuit that is restricting the flow. I would have suggested possibly the quick connectors as well, but it might be in the valve port OR in one of the cylinder base ports. Since it comes down in float position, I would guess that the problem is on the lowering circuit of the valve (trace the line from the base end of the lift cylinder to the valve and that port would be the one to check) and something blocking it, but floating in the line. On some loaders, there is an actual one way restrictor in this line so that it operates at the same speed lifting and lowering. Don't know what else to suggest.

First suggestion, make sure three point hitch lever is in 'neutral'.

Second, with the loader on the ground and the tractor off, disconnect, then reconnect the hydraulic lines for the loader @ the quick connects.

On my b2620 there is a hydrauliic hose and fitting on the rear. This has caused a similar problem when a stick pushed the quick coupler collar and unhooked this hose. I don't know if this hose is only on the tlb, or common on all bxx20's.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!! You have made my day, the 3 point hitch lever was in "raise"
(Huge sigh of relief)

Bless you, Rich

The engine died on my brush trimmer died, and I remembered your post about mounting a sicklebar on a loader bucket. I wonder if I could get some information from you about how you did it? Anything would help! Many thanks
