I saw a clean used F2690 60 at Mason Tractor in Blue Ridge GA the other day.

I’d been all over it if it’d been a F3990 72

I'm with you. I have a 60" zero turn, but would love a 72 to 84" deck. I may have to just go with a grooming mower from Landpride to get an 84".

I’ve had a 72 84 & 110 inch rear finishing mowers over a 20yr span but settled with a 72 zero 3yrs ago but wished Kubota made a 84

Ran a machine with an 90" front mower. Scalpy on anything but the flattest large areas.
72" will scalp a little if the ground is rolling. I rarely see a professional lawn mowing crew run anything bigger than 72”. Most run 60” because they don’t want customers upset

I’ve got a lot of uneven ground & mowing at 3.5 blade height (actual measurement) works fine with 72 / 84 for my application.

I had to mow at 4 inches with the 110” RFM

My yard is a converted fescue field from 17 years ago. I've mostly had 72' decks but started with a 60' and I've cut down/leveled with front of deck and with mowing blades all the high spots of dirt over the years so scalping days are mostly past now except those granite rocks that keep coming up a small amount each year keep me on my toes and make me cringe when I smooth the tops off of some of them every year. Went around a few weeks ago with bucket loads of dirt and covered several of them and hope they stay covered for a few years.

JT, You’ve described my farm to a tee.
I’ve dug up & chopped rocks here since 1996 LOL

After 24yrs I’ve finally got it in pretty good shape now.

Interesting, my yard is the opposite - nothing but clay.

Except of course my garden, keep always finding small rocks up to a fist size...

Anyone have experience with the 100" deck Kubota offers for these? It has two hinges, so it's essentially 3 decks. I see them for sale on machines every once in awhile, and I'd love to try one out.

I’ve seen them years ago. Kubota quit making them.

ExMark still makes a 96” folding deck.
