Kubota D1105

Hi, I have a ditch witch ht25. It has a kubota Diesel D1105 engine.It won't start.300 hrs. I tested the solonide , it works fine. When I crank it, It exausts diesel, black smoke.Ran just fine when I shut it off. Any help would be apprechated. Thanks

Insure that the fuel shut off is not partially closed.... It is the lever on the rack that the solenoid operates... It must be FULL on, or you will not start.
