Well, hopefully I'm not the only person who has ever done this, but when I was re attaching the backhoe I messed up pretty good. Lucky no one was hurt. When I backed the tractor up, I guess the backhoe had settled into the ground a little because the backhoe wasn't high enough to clear the bottom hooks on the tractor. No problem I thought, I can hookup the hoses, raise the stabilizer arms a touch and all will be good. Unfortunately I guess I hit one of the arm control sticks because the arm started extending. Since it wasn't attached to anything this just pushed the whole backhoe assembly against the tractor, which kept that control stick pushed. By the time I had enough presence of mind to shut off the tractor, it had extended all the way and the backhoe is now in an impossible position to hookup, (see pics). I tried to just bring the arm back, but that just moves the entire assembly. I know I need to get it back upright but that backhoe weighs 6 or 7 hundred pounds. Has anyone ever had something like this happen? I have hooked straps up to try and lift the control panel side of the backhoe with the front bucket and I can lift it, but it puts the tractor right at the edge of tipping because the ground isn't even around it. Any advice for how to get that guy back into a configuration I can hookup? IMG_9897.jpgIMG_9898.jpgIMG_9899.jpgIMG_9900.jpgIMG_9901.jpgIMG_9902.jpgIMG_9903.jpgIMG_9905.jpg

It looks to be a similar hookup to the one on my L5740. I suspect you will be fine if you take your time.
I'd get close, hookup the hydraulics, raise the stabilizer arms and then bring the arm back. You should expect to have to move the arm a little and then move the tractor a little. Probably going to be a lot of on and off the tractor action till you get it in a position that you can hook it up.
I put blocks that keep it aligned, or close to it, when storing mine. Makes a big difference.
Good luck.

The reason I was hesitating about the on and off and basically chasing the arm with the tractor is that hill its on. The pictures have a hard time showing it, but it can't move any further toward the bucket without starting down a decent little incline that I think might make things complicated, but that may be my only choice.

Nothing at all broken, I got lucky with that too. It just tilted that whole control panel into a weird angle instead of being upright and vertical.

Can u use a come along attached on either side of the rops?

I have chased the backhoe on my BX25 all over the yard before. I just parked it in the garage after that.
If you can get hooked up to the hydraulics: Close the boom cylinder and that will bring the platform closer to level.
Your left stabilizer is over the edge of your embankment and you might want to put blocking/cribbing under it to support it.

That might be a good first step Sandy. I can get a come a long to pull it further from the edge then do the on off, move arm move tractor as needed to get it back into a position that works.

I think I can help if you would like to give me a call. It'll be much easier for me to explain by phone than to try to type in an explanation.

If you look at the 4th picture it almost looks like you put it like that on purpose because it matches the angle the tiller is sitting at. Seeing these makes me glad mine has a subframe and can't tip that far. After sitting all winter, I had blocks under the seat area but the boom relaxed and caused the sub frame to tip up a few inches (the other direction from yours) and I couldn't back over it. It was in the garage next to the wall on one side and a car (with the battery removed ) I store for a friend on the other side. The hoses were too short to connect it to level it so I had to keep pushing the frame down with the FEL and shim the bucket up with scraps of plywood (all I had handy) took three tries to get over it, next winter I will either put it all the way on the ground or chain the boom to the frame.
