Kubota BX25 sputtering and stalling

I have seen failed or intermittent electric lift pumps cause similar stalling issues. I ripped off the power connection to the lift pump on my ZD mower once, and it would stutter on inclines or when under heavy load. Took a while to discover the wiring issue.
I believe the BX machines use the same electric lift pump and two inline filters that my older ZD326 has.
