My Kubota has just over 300 hours on it. It starts fine, but when I depress the gas pedal, the engine stops. I have changed both fuel filters, the oil filter and the air filter. Any suggestions?

When you turn on the key, but before you try to start, do you hear the electric fuel pump clicking?? If hot, it has failed. I had that happen to mine at about 150 hrs. I replaced it with an aftermarket one, as the one from Kubota was over $250. Got one from Auto Zone for $50. I don't recall the name or model of it. I have had no problems after the change.:2cents:

The fuel pump is clicking. So I tried pulling the seat to check for any failed sensors. There was a loose connection and a broken spring. I fixed both and now it works. It's funny how such a small thing can cause such an issue. Thanks, Dave, for the comment. Much appreciated.

Me being a "light weight", I had to disconnect and jumper the seat switch connector. It kept trying to shut off the motor when I would hit a bump while moving. 2 inches of wire and 2 quick connectors later, NO PROBLEM.
I'm sure you will get lots of good seat time with your BX. Dave

Thanks for these posts as it is good thing to know about the fuel pump click and some failing so quickly and the after market ones being so much cheaper . I don't know if I have a sensor under the seat of my B2650 or not as I can get off the seat with the tractor still going maybe it only activates when the pto is on .

It should turn off the engine IF the PTO is engaged OR the brake is not set.

Thanks Dave as it must not be hooked up as it doesn't matter if the brake is set or not as the tractor will still run on the 2650 . I am not sure about the pto though .I would guess my 2005 M5700 doesn't even have a shut off , it does give off a buzzing noise when you get off the seat and the pto is on .
