Mid-Mount Mower Kubota bx2200 pto coupler release

first time to remove belly mower.....easy until I try to uncouple the pto.

Instructions mention retracting cover and rotating.....

The cap/cover can be wiggled some, but I cannot retract it or rotate.

OK, at age 73 its difficult to get to the thing.....(thats my age, not the mower)..

Am I doing something wrong?

You have to retract them king collar but it should then pull straight off. If can't get the collar to move, blast it with some kind of penetrating oil.
