Kubota BX jack question

I have one of those jacks for tractors that lifts it up the tractor by the front wheels. It has weight limit of 550 pounds. It will lift BX with nothing on it but hesitant to get under it. It goes up much higher than jack stands and it is lovely to use on my smaller tractor. How would I figure out the weight of the front of the tractor if it weighs 1500 lbs with no attachments?

Would use nothing less then a pair of automotive grade jack stands under the front of a BX.

+1 and +1. I don't get under anything supported by just a jack. Any jack.

A friend's son was killed a few years ago trusting a jack in his garage. A damned grim reminder of something we all know in the first place.

Yeah I agree use stands. But it would be so much easier to get to the second fuel filter if it was higher. Ramps definitely not high enough. I need a lift

The ramps might work if I backed it on. Good idea but it could be a bit sketchy. I'll give it a shot and I get nervous the neighbor will always do it after a couple of beers

If I take the deck off the BX2230 I can get to the fuel filter under the floor board easy without jacking the tractor up, one thing to do is the first time the clamp has the bolt head on the top side so I flipped it for better bottom access.

Yeah, first time I changed the rear filter on my BX2200, I discovered the factory installed the filter BEFORE they put the floor deck on, so the clamp was on top. What a mess. When I installed the new filter, it secured facing downward.

Either get the hose pinch off tool or wrap electrical tape around a pair of vice grip pliers and pinch the fuel line to give you more time to work on replacing the fuel filter.
