Kubota BX Bagger ???

This ? is for you guys with a Kubota OEM BX bagging system. Having recently purchased one and in the process of installing it.

When installing the universal joint to the PTO shaft, the manual say to " make sure that the hole (a) is facing up". Yet the install instructions never mentions the universal joint again

The removal instructions says " to remove the universal joint lengthen the top link"

My question is,.. am I missing something;
Should there be a locking collar, push pin or clip in the universal joint?


I don't want to make an expensive mistake......

What do you guys do?

On my GCK60 bagger, I install the PTO shaft and then shorten the top link, drawing the PTO shaft onto the PTO, until the locking pins can be inserted into the holes in the frame. There are no collars pins or clips on my PTO shaft.

I have searched and come up with very few pics of the bagger system. PTO shaft for the bagger?? Now I am curious. Can you snap a pic or two when you get it set up? Thanks!!

I'll snap a few pics of the blower and mounting assembly before the bagger frame and chutes are installed.

It will be a few weeks, I have a bunch of trees to clean up from the ice storm

Here's a pic from another poster plus one I grabbed from the web. Note that this is the 3-pt mount bagger. I believe the newer ones mount to the tractor frame. Hope it helps
