Kubota BX 25

Just bought a new BX 25 with a box scraper and a brush hog. I just had a few days to play on it but wow what a sweet little machine.

Yes they are I have to say I was surprised at the power. Of the little guy. I never got to try the box scraper yet but I am hopeful it will keep the gravel drive way in shape.

I bought it for my land in Oregon. Where I live in Alaska it is all bed rock not to tractor friendly. How are u liking yours? Did u have to shorten the shaft on your brush hog?

I hung a chainsaw on it and I added a fire extinguisher two days ago.
The word on the street is I am getting a 1133 canopy for my BD in
a few short weeks. THAT is going to unleash some cool stuff
eventually I am sure including an overhead radio / electrical
accessory control panel ( hopefully) and perhaps a full cage.

Gosh I have so many threads here that are jam packed w/ ideas for you.
You will run into them along with MANY others by many a man, and
women, who customize.

I did shorten the PTO shaft on the Chipper indeed. I think I cut 2" off
each shaft and the cover tube as well.

Sure do wish there was a BX25 dedicated area to this forum...They are very popular and for good reason.

may have already been said but; check your front axle fluid. many here have purchased new Bx's with little to no fluid in the front axle. myself included

If you want a quicker way to attach your brush hog or any other 3ph attachments, buy a set of Pat's Quick Hitch. I bought mine at Pat'S Quick Hitch Cat 1, Stabilizer Bar Included but there are other sites that sell them to include TBN. Agri Supply was the cheapest and it came with the stabilizer bar.

The main reason I mention Pat's Quick Hitch is because you won't have to shorten your PTO shaft for your brush hog. The quick hitch will mount your attachments 4" further back.

I did not have to shorten anything with the Pat's because it extended the hook up over 4"s which required a new longer upper control arm and a new drive shaft for tiller, etc because the ones I had were to short with the Pat's extending the arm hook up. So, no you don't have to shorten them but you may have to replace them, I did.
