Attempted to start tractor. Needle on right side gauge moved when putting ignition in warmup position (needle did not move on left gauge). When putting ignition in start position, only a click sound could be heard on left side of dash. Tried a couple more times with same result. When I turned ignition to off position, a cracking noise occurred for about 3-5 seconds ..sounded like the noise was from the left side of the dash. Lights worked before...now there is no lights; also, nothing happens when I turn ignition key now. There are two electrical modules under the dash on left side...I replaced the outside module but with same results. Any ideas what may be causing problem?

I wonder if you checked the fuses first ?
Turns out it was quite simple after checking just about everything with a voltage meter. Kubota used a poor type of terminal connection at the positive post of the battery....the positive wire was butted up against the terminal connection and held in place with a plate bolted to the connection. The insulation on the positive wire hadn't been stripped back where the wire wis bolted to the connection, leaving just the exposed wiring pushed against the connection. Over time, the wires slowly lost their connection to the point only a few of the wires in the cable were touching (thus greatly reducing the amount of current flowing to the positive cable). We cleaned up the terminal, stripped back the insulation, and reconnected the cable to the terminal connection. Guess what? Started right up. Still not sure what the cause of cracklying noise....guessing maybe a switch that wasn't getting enough voltage. Everything works now.
