Kubota Bucket Hooks & Toothbar

For my old tractor I ordered weld on hooks from AIS, a local heavy equipment dealer. After I received them they looked like a normal chain hook with the eye nipped off. So on the new tractor I just bought a couple of chain hooks for about 1/3 the price at TSC and cut them myself. (on the hooks it says they are made like fine China) If I would have known about AW Direct I probabily would have bought them there.

My tractor dealer had them in stock in his parts room and welded them on as part of the package... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Junkman my New Holland dealer did the very same for me. One job less for me to worry about.

My Kubota dealer added 3 hooks to my bucket for me too. They left the clevis on them and didn't make the prettiest of welds, but the hooks seem to be holding up well so far.

If I didn't have a welder or if I didn't like welding I might have the dealer weld it for me. I have a welder and I feel that because of my experience and the fact that it is my tractor, I can do a much better job than a guy at the dealer that may or may not be focused on doing a good job. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif see picture

Banjo eye's... so that's what those are called. You learn something new every day (some days all I learn is that I haven't learned anything new!).

These are some bolt on hooks that I installed so I can chain my tractor down to the trailer and not scratch up the paint.

I had a clevis style hook on my drawbar, and that gave me the idea to use those the same way. The closed aspect keeps the chain from getting out as well. Of course, after you tighten them down, they're not coming out of yours either! John
