I've replaced several hydraulic hoses through the years with no problem. Have one now. The cylinder boom hose is leaking and the dealer wasn't able to tell me how to remove the cylinder and replace the hose. I think the boom pin needs to be removed so the cylinder can come out. There is now way you can reach up inside to disconnect the hose. Has anyone ever had to do this? If so I'm looking for some help.

This post is four years old and still no responses? There must be thousands of L35's with the BT900 backhoe and I am one of them. I've got a bucket cylinder headend line leaking inside the boom and my very expensive L35/BT900 shop manual doesn't even cover hose replacement. I think because the whole boom has to be removed to access the line routing.
I'm sure you don't need a post at this late date but I'm in the process of replacing the bucket rod end hose as. on my L35, BT900 backhoe. I lowered the boom and supported it so I could pull the boom cylinder pin, then it's pretty easy to change hoses, but that boom cylinder looks like it might not come out without pulling the boom pin and raising the back of the boom to clear the backhoe control station. I think you could keep the hosed connected and carefully jack the back of the boom so the cylinder will slide out.
