Kubota Boom cylinder leaking

/ Kubota Boom cylinder leaking #11
I rebuilt the bucket, and 2 boom cylinders in my bx2350d. My brother in law tried to pickup an 800lb bale of hay instead of just rolling it. Blew the seals. I changed hydraulic fluid twice after that and was finding blue rubber seal leftovers in the intake screen before the filter. Don't recall the price. The Seals are external on the shaft piston and internal on the nut that the shaft goes through. They are difficult to put in without a special tool. The material the Seals are made of isn't typical oring material. My little hydraulic cylinder shaft nut on the bucket took a breaker bar with a cheater pipe and 34 mm socket to get it off, to change the Seals on the internals of the hydraulic cylinder nut.
It can be done, but if you have large hydraulic cylinders your better off taking it to a hydraulic shop that has the big tools to do it with.

When and if I have a leaking cylinder, I take it to a hydraulic shop and have them rebuild it. Some are a bugger to get apart and some require special spanner wrenches as well. Easier to have a shop that specializes in rebuilding - repairing cylinders do it. Much less hassle, least for me.
I finally give up and took the hard parts to a reccomended repair shop.It was the best thing.I will never tackle it again
