Kubota BH 76 main boom lifting cyl lowering under load.

I must have over loaded my BH, as when trying to load some wood on a trailer using the thumb on the Back Hoe, tractor would lift the load, but it would drift down before I could load wood on my trailer. Also noticed the main boom lift is not what it use to be. I guess I will have to order a repacking kit for the Main Boom. Any one know what I need to order? Is there just a Kit, for this. This is on a Kubota B3200, which I push to it limits all the time. I also need to figure out how to check hyd pressure, is their a way to attached a pressure gauge on an in line quick connect hyd fittings? So its a good thing I'm back a work now, I'm hopping this won't set me back to much, as I have just spent $3100 on Rotary Cutter and Tiller, you can see this in my post in Kubota pages.

Yes about the QD.

You can install a male QD in a tee at the IN port of the first valve.

Whenever you want to read the pressure, just plug the 3000 psi hyd gage with a female QD on the male QD, and use the gage to monitor and troubleshoot the hyd system.

Any hyd usage will be reflected on the gage.

You can check and set the relief pressure.

You can also plug the gage into the work port QD if same size or make adapters.

Here are some examples of hyd test gage kits.

Cost about $30.

A hyd valve in neutral, is supposed to hold a load, and if it does not, the problem could be the valve leaking, but unlikely.

Probable cause is cyl seal leakage.

Most kits are available and some are easy to reseal.

If you don't think you can do it, let the hyd shop do it, but insist on a test after rebuild.

Thanks JJ, Hope to look up parts next weekend, and have them ready for the next time I get home. I have friends that can help me fix the cylinder, just trying to figure out how to get the main boom out of the casing, since you cant see it.
