Kubota Battery

Does anyone have access to some sort of "conversion" or "equivalent" chart for the Kubota Batteries? I have a B2150 that needs a battery. The number on the old battery is 65D26L. Can I use a comparable car battery or do I need to buy one from the dealer. Does anyone know what will work in my B2150?

I'd find a battery that meets the specs (Size, CCA & Post type/orientation) in general automotive and be done with it. You might even find one that meets everything else with a higher CCA rating. And I'm sure it would cost less than going to get a Kubota battery.

The NAPA Auto Parts folks are surprisingly savvy about tractors. You might check with them and see if they have the equivalency charts for just what you need.

Tim,
I have a B2150 too. It came with an automotive type battery when I bought it used. Just look for a similar size and terminal location automotive equivilant.

I bought a new battery for my B7100 last year at the local TSC store. Supposedly it's a "tractor" battery and is supposed to be pretty heavy duty. It looks just like a regular car/truck battery and cost about the same. TSC, Farm & Fleet, NAPA.......all good places to find a replacemnt battery.

If you have an Interstate Battery dealer in your area you could also try them. As everyone has stated, you should not have to go to the dealer to get a battery. Either take yours out and match it up, write down the measurements and take to store, or if old battery has a label with size or rating give the stores that info..
