Just curious, what is the flow requirement for a hydraulic auger, and do you have that much flow at your backhoe connections?

Doug in SW IA

Some drive motors can run on as low as 7gpm, they'll be less torque.

With the M59 we have approx 15gpm front and rear outputs which supports various augers on the market.

What did you come up with? Researching came up with this older topic.

Lack of bucket and attachment options for the M59 had me change to the excavator coupler option. Contributor “M59” found USA Attachments made a coupler for our pin- on models. Did require a little fab work modification to the coupler and original thumb to work together. So nice and easy to swap buckets now. Cheaper and easier to source attachments. Ripper is a new favorite tool.

Now working on figuring a SSQA hydraulic auger too. Many to choose from. Do like Danuser equipment and their stump planer attachment for augers would be handy on the farm. Studying pressure, flow VS torque and rpm charts. Danuser chart shows torque is the same at given pressure. RPM dependent on flow.

Bought an excavator to SSQA adapter from ATI. Flatface hydraulic couplers ordered. Still working the problem.

Last year's Kubota TLB & BH thread has lots of good info on couplers & conversions.
