Hi all

I've een lurkin' and learnin' for a few weeks now....I'm in the market for a compact, maybe orange or green, with a primary need to do clean mowing on several acres. Hope to add attachments in the future. Saw a B8200 for sale this weekend near York, PA. 479 hrs, FEL, asking $9k obo. No contact with owner yet, (out of town)
Far as I know this is a mid 80's machine? 479 hrs seems pretty low to me, figuring 15+ years. Any input on this unit in particular or pricing comments?
Thanks for your time

tom

Well If I could I would like to throw my question in here as well as opposed to starting a new thread. I am in the market for a New Bota but am also looking at used as of today. Why you ask the dealers seem to jump their price. I got a quote two weeks ago for a price. Made some changes and requested a firm price. Adding and subtracting it figured out to be $900 more. Asked about it and two days later the price went up another $1000.00 or a 10% jump in price. I am really feeling ripped off. Ok I know your waiting for the other shoe to fall. Is there any type of "Blue Book" out there for new and used tractors? I understand that different parts of the country have different prices but you would think someone out there would try to make a buck on this information. Especially in the area of new prices.

Try this <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.machinerylink.com/>link</A>.

Go to the lower left corner of the web page and click on <font color=red>Used Tractor Price Guide</font color=red>.

Good luck, guys

TOM : my next door neighbor and friend has a b8200 that he has had for about 12 years, he has worked that thing hard, never a problem, other thatn a few minor things, stuff that normally wears out , hoses and such. he has way more than 400 hours on it.the use and service he got from that tractor is the main reason when i needed to upgrade my tractor i went with the kubota b2400. not sure but the 9k might be a shade high, but u have to be the judge of that, if it is really nice and depending where u are it might be a good price.
