I don't know the price of these things. Only that I've been looking at people working their tractors for their gardens, snowplowing etc and that model always seems to pop up. They look like great tractors.

I sure like mine and that is about what I would ask for it. One thing you well not like is the seat, it is not a suspension seat. I found a small JD suspension base and put it on mine. Here are the things I did to mine over the years, made adjustable lower links and sway bars, added 2 set of rear remote hyds, a step, chain holders, quick hookup for the bucket and forks Made a small tree puller for it and made a sun shade, a weight dump box and put on a hyd top link. It seems like I get the 7800 when I am doing med duty work and I like using it most of the time.

Been lurking, first post.
Own 20 acres. 3 acre yard that used to be part of pasture back in the day. 10 acres wooded that is steep. Seven acres is trees, grown up brush.

My #1 priority for a tractor is driveway maintenance.
The driveway is gravel, about 600 ft long. 1/3 gradual rise, 1/3 pretty steep, 1/3 gradual rise. The middle 1/3 ruts pretty bad.

The b7800 tractor has the weight of current Kubota BX series, with 14" ground clearance rather than 9" ground clearance. Additional ground clearance is good in the garden, good in flatland woods, not good on sloped land.

I owned one of the b7800's successor models, a Kubota B3300SU tractor-loader package, which introduced independent PTO. Ample power for subcompact tractor PTO applications, although horsepower in that 1.5L four cylinder engine did not max until 2,700 rpm, which is high.

Too light in weight for serious ground contact work. Likely heavy enough for 200' of rutted drive, if you keep it upright. Fine for gardens, snowplowing, etc.

I felt my B3300SU a bit "tippy" with an FEL because of tall wheels/tires, therefore better on flat land than hills. Loaded rear tires advised. $300, 2 X 3" spacers installed on rear wheels would make the b7800 less tippy. Bro-Tec/Canada is the quality brand.

$11,500 fair price WITH two or three implements included.

I've had a B7800 for more than 10 years and it is one of the finest small tractors Kubota has ever made. I use mine primarily as a mower with a Woods 7' pull type three blade unit. It also has a 6' belly mower but I don't use that much because it's a side discharge. Either pulls effortlessly. Originally, I bought it because of the 4 cyl engine and the relative power to size package. It's fits in a small space and navigates easily. I have R-4 industrial tires.

It has been used for lots of other tasks over the years and never gave any problem or bogged down. I've pulled a 12' spike harrow on dry, flat, bare ground and it did it and I've pulled an 8' double packer, also on dry and flat ground. t wouldn't do it in more difficult conditions but it did that just fine. I also use it to transport 3pt implements when I don't want to use a bigger tractor. No problem ever. The tractor would be great with a loader but it's an older style loader frame and has the bar over the cowling part of the hood. It's really OK but I just like a cleaner look. I do not have a loader but would like one and it would be a great package.

There are lots of these around so parts will be around forever. Thee are great tractors, adequately powered and intelligently designed. I wouldn't sell mine. $11,500 is a fair-to-lower or even too cheap price for a low hour, exc condition tractor. I've seen them auction for more. If you like it, I'd buy it.

Separately, use Kubota SUDT2 synthetic when you change the trans fluid and you'll like it. Hydros love syn. Search my prior thread on this.

It's a great tractor. I owned one of the originals from 2003. Sold it recently. Only issue was the seat safety switches and a front axle repair. Did everything I could ask of it. Driveway maintenance, front end loader work, raking and bush-hogging. Small enough to get around buildings, just right for pasture maintenance. Adequate clearance for venturing into the woods.

I looked at a bunch and drove a number of tractors before buying mine. Took forever. I had my checkbook out for a JD compact in really nice shape but something told me to hold off and I walked away. Turns out that was a good decision for me as I wanted to add a loader and JD no longer offered one. Didn’t want to go aftermarket so passed, and called the owner promptly to tell him. Nearly bought two others. I was talking pricing once setup in the B7800 ballpark.

You won’t know til you go drive it. I drove four about 4 hours yesterday just prospecting trout streams to fish for a couple hours. Maybe find something else to do while you go look (check out a diner or whatever) and go drive it?
