Kubota has just came out with a new compact tractor B78oo which is the same as the same as the B2910 without all the thrills. If anyone owns the 2910 i would appreciate thier comments on that tractor. I am not sure that i need the 30 hP but i would rather have it than not have it i think. The 7800 is somewhat cheaper than the 2910 due to the luxury items missing.

you dont say the intended use or the size property u want to use it on. 30 hp won't hurt, but what are the frills that are mising from the 7800 as compared to the 2910? don't forget that what is a luxury at one age is an essential at an older age, beleive me i know. just trying to help.

And no telescoping lower links, no position control (although the new quarter-inching system doesn't seem too bad). Haven't driven one, but looks to be a pretty nice little tractor.

I have owned a B2910 for over two years now and love the machine. I'll tell you what I tell everyone looking for a tractor.

figure out what physical size tractor you need to do the job and get as much HP in that package as possible.

Kubota makes 3 or 4 frame Size/structures in the Bseries machines.

The telescoping wheel on the 2910 isn't a big deal for me, never used it more than once... But maybe it has value if you shorter or taller than the norm.

The cruise control handle which I thought I wanted I NEVER use...

The suspension seat is an absolute MUST for me, although I would find the machine you want and if it didn't have I'd put one on.

The lower links are very nice and the position control is a great feature.

If mowing or loader work is a high prioroity the HST is the only way top go.

Best of luck,
Chris

I am not too much up on Kubota, but I sure love my fancy seat that came with my New Holland. There is a major difference from the other one I had. This one you can move back and forth and is much more plush than my other one. Also no one would ever be able to talk me into anything other than Hydrostatic. If you do a lot of mowing and FEL work hydro is a must.

Don't make the same mistake I made. I bought a TC21D and found it was not want I wanted. Bothered the living day lights out of me and finally went back and got a TC29D. Now I am a happy camper. I don't know if Kubota has supersteer, but if a lot of mowing that really is nice also. If Kubota is on your mind then I wouldn't worry too much about having supersteer but seriously think about that seat and hydro.

I use all the Premier Plus features on my 2000 B2910.
When cutting the backfields, the runs are about 1000’ long. I use the cruise control.
When rototilling I use cruise control.
For comfort I like to change the tilt and length of the steering wheel column.
When changing attachments I use the adjustable links.
The ratchet type 2PH lift rod is very easy to use when changing attachments. I don’t keep my top & tilt on the tractor all the time.
The seat is a comfort feature that is nice when ground is rough.
I use the Mid PTO for my 72” MMM.
Savings on the 7800 might temp me to give these feature up if I was buying my tractor today. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

One other minor difference is the lower link stabilizers. On the B27/2910, they are telescoping; on the B7800, they are turnbuckles.

That must be why a got rid of my B7100. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

After reading all the post on putting the 2710 lower link stabilizers on a BX2200 it shouldn’t be to much of a job putting them on a 7800.
