Congratulations to your new toy. I have the younger brother 7510 and it is great. I think you got it at a pretty good price too.

I didn't realize you could run a log splitter off the 3ph. What kind of log splitter do you have and how well does it work for you?

i run the Northern Tools 3ph splitter. It works pretty well except the speed is slow. This is the downside of running a spitter off a small tractor's hydraulics. it works pretty well for me (it's not like I am splitting tons of wood - maybe 12 face cords per year). It saves a few bucks over the stand alone splitter (cost was ~$700). If you have the extra coin, I would go with a standalone splitter.

Wayne,
Could I discuss your log splitter plumbing with you please? I want to do the same on my 7500 and could use a little insite.

Thanks.
Bill

bmclaug,
Here's a pic of the rear of my 7500. I also have the Northern Tools splitter. I removed the valve from the splitter and mounted it on the back of the tractor. That way, the quick disconnects are on the splitter lines and not the tractor lines. I didn't want to ever forget to reconnect the power-beyond loop of the tractor when removing the splitter.
Scott
