Kubota B7500 lost key

Ok, my bad, just 3 months after buying a used B7500, I have lost the key! After hauling my gun kill deer back to the garage, I must of put the key in my hunting coat and gone back into the woods and it fell out some where. So.... how does one go about getting a new key?

Kubota dealer, in a series they are all the same... of course you could make one if you remember it.. It seems to be the B7500 was just a simple T on the end with a little extension of the shank past the T But if you are not used to lock work, the best bet it go to the dealer and ask for a key. I have seen machinery keys on e-bay also.

Just go to your dealer...tractor keys aren't like car keys...the dealer's parts department will probably just pull one out of a drawer...with one caveat. The B7500 has got a few years on it now, so it's possible they'll have to order one.
BTW, if Parts doesn't have one...try the service dept. If they're like my (Deere) dealer's service department, they'll have dozens of spare keys in a box.

It is nice to have a spare or two though...

Yeah, guess I thought it might be like a car key. Guess I will be heading down to the Kubota dealer tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

The keys for B-series tractors are all the same for quite a few years back. The dealer should have some in stock and they are pretty cheap. I bought a couple for my B3200 and they were less than $5 for the pair.

My New Holland Key actaully fit my Kubota as well.

The right size screwdriver would probably work in a pinch

Yes it's kind of worrisome to find out that removing the key from your tractor or other heavy equipment doesn't do much to deter theft
