When going from forward into reverse, the rear end makes a "popping" noise and the tire visibly wobbles. Could this be the bearings or the gear?

Nissa,

Can you tell us what transmission style you have: standard or hydrostatic? Is the machine moving while changing the direction of travel? What tire wobbles, how much and in what direction (side to side or in the direction of travel)?

Just a thought: If yours is a standard (has gears) then I begin to wonder if the clutch is adjusted properly. This assumes the clutch peddle is being depressed while the gear selection is changed.

The B7200 is an Hydrostatic. (Purchased used this fall so is just now getting a workout pushing snow.) Husband Dale says its the left rear wheel with a directional "wobble" and is guessing it moves 3/4"-1". It doesn't make the noise every time. Thanks for the help

No worries mate!!!!
This is an easy one. Your rear hubs are loose/worn
Pull the rear wheels off to gain access to the hubs, see that bolt on the hub? Loosen that up pull the pin and anti-sieze the crap out of the axle then put the hub back on and tighten the bolt real good. If it does'nt tighten down well get yourself a new set of hubs and r+r. Like new..........
