Kubota B7100 muffler tip, chrome or black?

Does anyone know if the muffler tip comes as chrome or black finish? p/n 66711-54410

001 in the drawing...

I was wire brushing my rusty muffler tip last night prior to painting it with hi temp black and noticed there seemed to be tiny chrome flakes behind the clamp bracket. I wonder if it were originally chrome?

All the muffler tips I've seen are black finish...even on my B7100HST.

Both my B7100's,listed below, had crome tips when I got them. I bought the '98 HST from the original owner, I doubt they would have bothered to change it.

Present 1978 B7100 .... chrome. As was my first 1978 B7100. Although now had to change to a vertical muffler mounting to clear Westendorf FEL brace arms. So now longer stack.

The tip on my 1993 model B7100 was chrome, but I replaced it with a piece of curved chromed sink trap piping to deflect the exhaust soot from my FEL. Looks like it was made for it.....LOL

I never noticed any chrome on mine but I do like DetroitTom's idea about deflecting the soot away from the FEL
