The steering box may be a little hard to find.

It shouldn't be hard but expect the price of the tractor to be more than doubled after you buy the box.

What about the shifter hole? Should fluid be visible with tge rubber boot off or is something else supposed to be between the boot and fluid?

Is this a manual gearbox or HST? Early series B7100 or late?

Messicks has a lot of parts, and parts diagrams, all on line. Try Ebay for things that Messicks doesn't have.

Its a gear trans amd early im guessing 80 or 81
