Dear members,
My question relates to damage to my Kubota B6200HST rear right tire and axle (due to a runaway down hill with hitting a tree).
The right rear tire rim was deformed about 3 inch inward buckle and was deflated. The right transaxle outer oil seal was displaced and the tractor lost it hydraulic fluid.
Before drain-out I activated the wheel showing that the wheel (although severely out-of-round) rotated without giving unusual sounds.
My question is whether I can replace rim and remount tire and replace transaxle oil seal and proceed or whether I will have internal transaxle housing, bearing, or circlip damage that will require teardown and repair?
It seems that the transaxle has been forced out of place enough to dislodge the oil seal. My question is whether this amount of axle distortion/upsetting will be expected to damage internal retaining components of the axle.
Does any one have experience with such situations that could give feedback.
I apologize for not having pictures to give further background but this just happened to me out of town and I had to come back to town because of commitments and didn't have the presence of mind to take pictures.
Sincerely
Earl
