My 6100 HST has 1100 hrs and has dragged, mowed and plowed [snow] with all the heart you might expect from a 1500 lb machine. No major mechanical issues; just routine maintenance, - fluids, belts, wheel tightening and some welding repairs to the deck which, in addition to the steering, appears to be a soft spot in the set-up. I run an all original Kubota 48" which does not seem to compliment the turning circle of the machine as well as it might. Yeah, I know this is no z turn; more accurately a 'K' turn. Anyway, aside from breaking off the left front carrier wheel [about 4 times], it is the incidence of breakage of the deck lift cables that is begs resolution. Replacement is not difficult, but the cost of these two pieces has more than tripled since first purchase! I have the original owners manual for the deck and have gone over the balance and symmetry of all mounting hardware, but still.......
So, not to steal this thread, but to further expand the original post, I invite input as to what might be going on, how it might be corrected or, failing that, a more reasonable aftermarket source for the cables [have tried Messick's]. Thanks in advance
