I have just bougt Kubota B6100. It has 920h on it. Looks in pretty good condition. Cold starting has some delay and couple of tries but otherwise looks clean and no rust. Attachments include: mover, plaw, front blade and some sort of tiller with disks but no Power attachment to it. I paid $3800.
I am not sure if I paid more then I should but if this beast would listen to my commands for few years ahed it is OK.
Previous owner got new battery.
WHAT I Need to look about this tractor to be sure it works in good condition?
If someone could help me with few words?
Like , how often oil and filter need to be changed?
How about hydrolic oil? Any special clean-up?
Any required greasing? Transmission fluid?
Electrical stuff? Breaks?
Any other special attentions?
Greatly appritiated!
Thanks
Mike

Thanks,
Great info. One think I could not find. What roto tiller is compatible with B6100D
Kubota or any ather. I saw Kubota has FL850 & FL1000.
It looks very expensive around $2000. More then one half I paid tractor.
I am not sure which one better suit my tractor.
Any other after market type with low cost?

We got this one for our B5100, which is just a bit smaller than your B6000. It was about the only new unit I could find that was within the 3pt lift limitations of our tractor (about 310#):

Phoenix T4 Series Value Model 40" 3 point hitch, Tractor PTO Driven Economy Rotary Tiller from Sigma

It's a very solid, very nicely built tiller. I especially appreciate that the lower hitch pins can be moved around on the frame, which allowed be to offset it slightly to cover both tire tracks and to adjust the spread of the lower arms so they don't rub on the rear tires. Everything Attachments was a pleasure to do business with a great price, free shipping and very prompt delivery.

With that much weight that far aft of the rear axle I did have to put some weight up front to keep the front on the ground and to provide some traction for steering:

I've been running a B6200 for 23 years, overworked it and abused it as bad as anyone could do, and it has done fairly well. Although running a constant heavy load (rototiller) on the high speed PTO was not a good idea, wore out the drive gear in the transmission which I had to replace. just run it at 540 and it's fine.
We have a 36" sicma tiller and it's done all the rocky ground anyone could imagine, I'd tie up the gate and run it backwards to dig hard ground and throw out boulders that it was bouncing off of going forwards.
It will run a square baler, I was surprised at first that it would, but been doing it for years now. The baler is an ancient case baler.

I hung 200 lb steel wheel weights on the front and pulled out logs that were bigger than it should have been able to handle. But finally the seals have blown on the lift cylinder and it won't pick up much weight anymore. And the engine has started getting weak, I've been told it needs the injector pump rebuilt and new injectors, since it doesn't use oil. It's getting close to 3000 hours.
Having rolled it several times on our steep mountainside, I've broken the exhaust manifold and the mounts for the roll bar, but I attached the roll bar to the top link mount and it's a little noisy with the loose manifold. but otherwise still going fine. RT

Oh it's done it's share of work for sure. I'm saving up some cash to buy a bigger tiller for the bigger tractor, so I can get by without the kubota for awhile and do the needed repairs. Get it back in good shape and then use it lighter than I have. Since I do have bigger tractors now to do the heavier work. Those small tractors would be almost unusable in 2WD, specially on the steep hills we have, but even just tilling a plowed field it would get stuck here and there on the uneven ground without the front end pulling. I always run the glow plugs when the engine is cold. I start off around 20 seconds if the weather is warm and move up from there. Below freezing is sometimes 2 mins of glow plugs but I try 1 minute first. You get used to what it prefers. With the correct amount of glow plug time mine fires up on the 1st spin. I'd rather run the glow plugs longer than the starter.

These are tough little tractors except for the steering box. Search on here for that and you'll see folks who've had to fix there's. Parts for the box are hard to come by but seeing you don't have a loader you don't have too much stress on it. Some people have mentioned water getting in there and ruining the bearings. Have fun with the tractor.

As for a tiller, I'm pretty sure the guy who had mine before me used a 48" tiller on it. It was big on the tractor but seems to work ok.

Mike:

I just bought one myself. I went to ebay and bought an operators manual for it. $15 or so. its on the way. Also since i don't know how others took care of it, i bought the best oil money could buy, and changed all fluids in it as well as oil filter and new air filter. I did get a shop manual with it, which is too detailed for me since i won't rebuild it.. But it sure helps. I also added some Shaeffer Neutra to the fuel, as well as diesel treat. Along with Schaeffer 9000 5-40 oil. It now runs like a top!!
