the b2650 has a three cylinder engine, interim tier 4 emissions.
the b3350 has a turbo four cylinder, with tier 4 final, with a particulate filter and all of the electronics needed for the system.

I probably missed it in 219 posts, but what's the difference between the B2650 and B3350?

Emissions. The B2650 is one of the smaller engines that is as close to old school diesel as you will get these days without buying an old diesel. B3350 has new technology, that is great when it works. Unfortunately it does not always work, and on some machines it just doesn't. It is not only tractors. A friend got the dealer to take a pickup back that was in the shop more than at home for the 5 months he owned it.

B2650 is Tier IV Final without the need for the extras. As is the L2501 and several others.

Cheeky. is right. the B2650 is tier IV final. my bag...
replacement tractor is approved. still waiting on details concerning all of my payments made on a shop queen. and the difference in price of the two models.
the new dealer doesn't want to order the B2650 without all of the details worked out.. i don't blame him.

i've been without a reliable, working tractor for over a year.
(this is counting all of the time i waited on kubota insurance to determine a claim on my trade in)

tempforce,

Sorry you, or anyone for that matter, would have to go through this. My B3350 has been good, no problems except for having to take it to the dealer for the upgrades. It IS a pain in the *** to not be able to let it sit there and idle for a few, or to feel the need to run it at over 2000 rpm when that much or speed is not required for the job at hand. Had I to do it over again, I would get the 2650 just based on the "threat" of future DPF issues. The EPA, in so many areas, seems to be just clueless in their overreach - the whole Tier IV on a small tractor thing is just one example.

Please do keep us updated as you have been doing . . . thanks.

Bought my B3350 Sept 2015. Regen occurs every 10 hours. Latest one did not complete after 3 hours. At dealer to reset computer. Dealer will not sell any more B3350s. He is recommends I trade it in because at altitude or in cold weather they cannot get the problem solved.

You may want to talk with another dealer -- my understanding, and what a dealer on here (Messicks) mentioned, is that Kubota has resolved the problem once and for all. I believe it was sometime in 2016 that the fix was implemented. It required replacing a small amount of DPF components, as well as computer and software changes.

RegenX,

With the problems some have had with the B3350, if I had a do-over, I'd get the 2650. I live at 4850', high desert, and my 3350 works fine, bought in November of 2013. Regen is about every 13 hours or so. I have 450 hours on it, no issues. We get cold weather, though I keep the tractor stored in my shop I keep above freezing.

I have had all the updates done.

The update was made to my unit about a year ago. No change! In fact it has gotten worse.
