Kubota B2630 or B3030

When looking at these two in comparison, it comes down to a simple question of whether I want the B3030 or B2630. For a little extra pto HP (3.5) and gross HP (4) on 3030, significant engine displacement, and minor dimension specs, I guess it boils down extra $$. Attachments with purchase of either model:

* FEL
* Rear mower 60" for about 4 acres pasture
* Snow blower front mounted or just a rear blade. It is hard to predict the snow in central Ohio from year to year, some times a lot, others not so much.
* Tiller

It looks as if the 3030 does not have to work as hard as 2630 to get the same or better performance. What are your thoughts in this situation 2630 or 3030? I will be seeing lots of orange in the barn by the end of September.

If you are getting a 60" rotary cutter. You will need the extra 3.5 HP to run this attachment in heavy grass.

You'll never hear a tractor owner say "gee, I really wish I had gotten less horsepower." Get the B3030. HP is not something you can buy and attach later.

Most of the dealers in this area will not stock the 2630. They consider it too close to the 7610, which costs less, and will tell you that if a 7610 is not large enough, you should jump to the 3030 for enough power and size to really use and feel.

Our new place will be allmost 4 acres. I had a b7500 and wanted a backhoe with just a little more power so I ended up with my b2630 TLB. I have done anything I have wanted with this tractor and am very satified with the HP. As soon as we move in I will be taking delivery of my befco 72" finish mower to keep the yard under control /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif But which ever way you decide you will like either tractor. Jim
