JCB 1400B backhoe, Kubota B21
I just purchased a used but new to me Kubota B21 and had a couple of questions about it.

I dont have a user or service manual for it yet and plan to take off the backhoe and also use the 3pt/pto for mowing and of course all of the 3pt hardware is missing but I have ordered replacement 3 pt hardware off of ebay.

I noticed the 3pt lift arms dont lift when I move the raise/lower lever, does the backhoe need to be removed in order for the lift arms to work properly?

Or could the hydro/tranny fluid level be low? Currently the yellow dipstick has the level right in the middle of the lines, is this the proper amount?

What are all the fluid capacities of the B21?

Thank you for any assistance.

On mine there is a push pull lever on the right side, kind of under the seat. Im away from my tractor, or I would snap a pic for you. I also cant remember which way is which, but I think pulling up on it will allow the lift arms to operate. The opposite way will send fluid to the hoe.

Also be careful you dont put stress on the backhoe hydraulic connections with the lift arms, depends on how the lines are routed. The BH is a piece of cake to take off, it was a little intimidating at first because I had no experience. Now setting up the 3pt arms takes longer than removing/reattaching the BH.
