I am a virgin tractor owner from up in Nova Scotia. So please bear with me. I have no reason to believe I have been sold a problem however I am having difficulty with the clutch or transmission. I spoke with the previous owner and he said he never had a problem and I believe him. It has sat unused for a while. The difficulty is in the main shifting not the high/low. The tractor is a Kubota B1750D 4X4. The guy I purchased it from picked it up via an auction where it was sold by the city of Halifax after it was damaged by Huricane Juan in 2002. Part of roof fell on it and did some cosmetic damage which was replaced. The guy didn't know what year it is and I don't. Whether it has an HST I honestly do not know. Hopefully someone else does know. It is a newer model. .....The Problem: I'm ideling at 1000RPM,stopped, clutch and attempting to shift into 1,2,3 or reverse. Sometimes I can shift easily into gear and other times not. Grind. It's as if the clutch is not disengaging. Also. When shifting is successfull, move tractor forward, depress clutch, still in gear ,and low grinding sound. I immediately shift into neutral and grinding sound stops. PTO in neutral. 2 or 4 wheel drive. High or Low speed. I'm a little worried about causing any damage so I'm leaving it sit. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.
