Kubota B 1750 adding the "Thumb"

I would love to a The Thumb to the bucket of my B 1750. I don't know anything about hydraulics and looking at a 3rd function valve and hose kit it looks at twice the cost of the Thumb. Am I missing something?

Just went through a major hurricane and it shure nould have come in handy.

I have no idea what I will need and where to find it. I have had hydro hoses made for me,in the past for my zero turn, but these valves have me stumped.

The two basic ways this is commonly done is either use a diverter that temporally uses curl/dump circuit of the existing loader valve...The second way is adding another valve with it's own lever to operate the thumb...the valve will have to be mounted near the FEL valve as it will use the "power beyond" function...

The former (diverter) method uses an electric solenoid switch on the existing FEL joystick to engage the thumb...
