Kubota 900UTV transmission

We are a Pheasants Forever group. We have a K 900UTV diesel that we were justed charged 6900.00 for a new transmission. The old transmission blew a hole out the side. We bought the unit new about 5 years ago for 9000.00 . It seems nuts to spend 6900.00 on a transmission when the unit was only 9000.00 new. Does that seem high to anyone out there and do we have any recourse?

To answer your question-
maybe not the greatest decision since you can buy a new unit for $10,500 with 0 down, 0% interest and could have traded in that unit. Just my opinion. Recourse? Don't know.

I have nothing to base it on, but that does seem way out there price wise...Double what I would have expected from what I've heard that tractor HST replacements run.
