L3700
Just got a new L3700 a few days ago. Only has about 4 hours on it now.

I attached a 58" Land Pride Tiller to the three point and tried it out. When I lift the Tiller with the PTO still engaged, there is a ticking/clicking/pulsing sound.

In reading through the Kabota manual, it states that if a sound is heard when lifting (this sound does not appear to be in lifting but once it is all the way up), that damage could be done if the correct adjustments are not made by a dealer.

My question is: does this sound like a PTO or 3PT problem as I do not hear the sound with the PTO off but only when 3PT is in full upright position?

Anyone else have had similar situation?

Sounds like your lift lever needs a stop adjustment (if new machine has this). Check the manual to see if this is present. Sounds quite simple.

Often the topmost end is meant only for auxillary remotes. A simple test would be to put a bolt in the adjustment slot of the lift lever. So that the lever hits the bolt, like a stop. I had to do that on my Ford.

sounds like you are putting too much angle on you're u-joints on the pto shaft. only raise the tiller enough to clear the ground. there is probably a warning in the manuel for the tiller about this.

I'm with Bill.
Sounds like you are lifting the tiller to high putting too much angle on the u-joints while the PTO is still engaged
