Kubota 3400

Hi All. I have a Kubota 3400. There is a spring loaded lever on the right side front of the engine that looks like it should have a cable or something on it. There is a hole in the end but nothing is attached. It is on top of what I believe is the hydraulic pump. Can someone tell me it's purpose?

I'am out back in middle of work back here.I'am sending you pics of my L3400DT.
At least for now you can see my motor till we/us or TBN-er can fiqure it out.

What you are looking at is on top of the injector pump, NOT the hydraulic pump, which is at the rear of the engine on the same side.

That lever you refer to is a manual fuel cut-off. If in the event that the electronic switch that cuts off the fuel fails, you can use that lever to be able to shut the tractor off.

Kinda suprising, but I do not believe that is mentioned in the manual either:confused2:

Thanks for the insight, I had no idea that lever was even there. And you're right on something else too, the manual makes NO mention of it either.
