Price Check Kubota 3010 Backhoe price?

I have an acquaintance that will sell me his 3010 Kubota with loader and backhoe (I think 9ft hoe - it was the biggest he could buy for machine). 920 hours of use, he purchased it new in 2000 and the tractor usage has been moderate to fairly hard. He has asked 敵ive me an offer any suggestions would be helpful.

I saw a 3010 for sale in Mass. a few months ago for $16,500 with a loader and backhoe. It had a few less hours than your friend's machine though. I don't recall the model year.

Wonder if he looking for an offer he can refuse... and you would like to get it for cheap but don't want to insult him... Look at tractorhouse.com and see what others are listed for (not that it means they sell for that price). Then lower that price a wee bit. Without seeing photos of the tractor any guesses about the price are going to be wild as$ guesses.

Yes we are in the classic stare down who shoots first, I will say he is a great negotiator born with a silver tongue. As for condition of machine it has not been pampered but it is all there paint is good, parked in the barn, and includes the classic battle scars of bent grill, broken head light, bent foot pegs (bars you place your foot on to get on tractor) ripped seat. I can try and get a photo to help determine a rough value; I am just looking for a fairly knowledgeable number range as I head into battle for a decent price?

This is just about negotiating and not about the machine or price. If he's a negotiator extrodinare then find your cheapest price on the internet then offer him $5000 less while telling him you have no idea of what something like what he has is worth, then wait. If he's negotiating he won't really get mad. If he's not negotiating he'll get mad and walk away. Then you can actually start trying to come to a reasonable price.

I would think $14/15K would be a good price for both of you
