Price Check Kubota 245dt w/ loader & BH price???

I ran a cross a Kubota L245dt tractor today with a 3 point backhoe and a loader and a tiller. The tractor has about 1000+ hours on it. The hour meter stopped at 956.9. The hood is dented pretty bad. One new tire with the others being in great shape, ag type. It had not been started since last fall but fired up and ran perfect with no smoke at all.
There is a fair amount of grease build up, his wife said he loved to use the grease gun. It drove well and seemed tight in spite of the use. It is 4x4 and everything worked well. All attachments are Kubota brand. He bought it new. And used it alot. The gentleman passed away last fall and she is just getting around to selling off items.
Her firm price is $8000.00 as is. Any opinion or heads up as to things to look for? Thanks, Gregp

I did a search on Iron Search for L245. Found 4. From $4600 to $6900. With a BH and Tiller price is good.

The hour meter runs from a small flexible speedometer cable - it connects at the front of the diesel pump and they are known to break there - a new one is not very expensive and easy to install (was easy on my L345). If the tires look good, they are maybe not the originals - 1000 hours shows on R1's, less on R4's. If his place is all unpaved, then maybe they are original - but unlikely. Grease buildup around fittings is ok (sign of regular maintenance) but oil leakage should be near zero on the main tractor chassis. If the front axle has oil leaks that usually means a lot of wear (maybe 2000 hours or more) A L245DT would be about 20 years old ? The loader valve may weep a little - as might the backhoe cylinder seals - but the piston rods on the hoe should not be pitted - should be nice and smooth and shiny. Look at the air filter element (make sure it is present and not damaged) and check the gear oil (should be clean). Any tractor with a FEL can quickly get a dented hood. If it checks out, 8k may be a good deal - those tractors are good for a lot of work even after they start looking a little beat. Good luck and keep us posted.
