Kubota 1640A loader

New to this, I just purchased a Kubota 1750D with a 1640A loader

when i try to back grade or put down pressure to lift the front end I don't seem to have much power.

What do i look for?

I have ordered the manuals but until i get them i am at a loss.

Will the loader lift a full bucket of dirt? What RPMs are you operating at?

Yes it will lift a load. But I am not sure how much of a load I am going to test the capacity tomorrow with 50# bags of sand

I used to have a B5200. It had a 1640 loader, the lifting capacity was 500 lbs. I would not call it a super performer. And it really wasn't heavy enough to backdrag. If you put on a heavy edge, it would level better, but then subtract from an already low lifting limit. Its a small loader, the only way to get better performance is to get a bigger tractor. It would be ideal for cleaning out stalls or other close quarters work. Running it at 2,000 rpms did help. But it did lift the front end. Even at idle speed. First roll the bucket all the way back. Then lower the arms until they hit the ground. Now by unrolling the bucket, the tractor should lift.
