Kubelwagen

Little know fact, but the steering wheel in those is the same as was put in the Schwimmwagen and also later into the Snow Trac. A steering wheel and horn button will fetch upwards of $800 for one of those. An orignal, but incomple and lousy shape Schwimmwagen was just for sale on Ebay last week, not sure what the auction ended, but it was probably over $30,000.

There is an club for the Schwimmwagens, according to their registry there were less than 200 'known' surviving units. I don't know aobut the Kubelwagens but I suspect there are a lot more than that, they were produced in higher numbers.
