Kommander Engine

Does anyone know if they have changed the engine models on the Kommanders this year? I looked online at an e-brochure that shows a photo of the engine and it has a Kubota sticker on it. Are they putting their own engines in them now?

Mine has a Kubota sticker on it, but it's a Kohler.

I am shopping for a zero turn mower now. I do prefer the Kawasaki engine. Had a Kohler in my last mower and they are not the Kohler that I remembered--- made much cheaper nowadays.

The Kommander line comes with the Kohler ZT720 Confident engine, pro grade with the cast iron liner.

Correct. Dealer told me that Kubota does not spec engines, they buy the best available. He also said that B&S have had many problems, but none with the Kohler or Kawasaki. I did buy the z125s yesterday and It has a 25 hp Kohler.
