Why do you think it's a grey market? The E's are narrow track and the P's are wide track. They added the EX and PX designations sometime in 2002's. The D37E-5 was in the range of 1995-2000. Call your local Komatsu dealer for more info and have the serial number. I've run the 37PX. Komatsu makes a nice dozer. The -2 in the above video is a much older machine. I did see one ad for a D37E-5 but it had been repainted and they put D37EX stickers on it.

Here's a '95 for sale. Komatsu certified. They run away from grey market and wouldn't certify it.

My bad. It was just that I've never seen or heard of one at any jobsite I've been at in the Northwest. My apologies.

No worries, I think Komatsu wasn't as popular in the 90's so the older models are going to be rarer. The one he's looking at could be grey, but there are US versions. He'll have to get the serial and have a dealer double check. He needs to do that anyway to make sure it's not reported stolen.
