I have a 905 Kobelco excavator that works pretty good and does not have a lot of hours on it. Lately when I have used it the left track sticks and will not allow me to turn very well. After awhile it breaks free and runs fine for awhile then back to sticking again.

Is this a problem with the brake or is something binding up.

Any help from the experts out there would be appreciated

Stop running it at once until you can get the left final drive apart most likely the reduction has a problem. these machine have very little trouble with the hydraulic motors there is either a bolt coming loose in the final or you have a bearing failed and the pieces are locking up the final
