knucking in a 3720

i know this is an old thread but my machine only has 60 hours on it and i noticed this same issue about 10 hours ago and has been bothering me. Im 98 percent sure this is my issue as well becuase when i back into my garage, i hear the noise as the front tires hit the concrete lip and see the whole axle move. Cant wait to check torque on this bolt you guys are talking about. Thanks

I hope that's it. I torqued mine but it still loosed up, so make sure you locktite it.

ok! so I checked that bolt in the front of the axle pivot and like yours, mine was almost backed all the way out by itself. I Lock tighted it with the blue stuuf and torqued down to 24 foot pounds and then tightened the lock nut. Thank goodness for your thread, becuase I didnt know where to start looking for this thudding sound. Ill bet this is an issue with every brand new 3x20 coming off assembly line. thanks again

Yep, my bolt was ready to fall out. i put blue locktite on and torque'd to 24 ft lbs. will keep an eye on it.

this is a 2012 3720.

You would think the factory would figure it out. They put locktite on everything else, why not this?

Forgot to report back. Amazing! I was worried I had too much gear backlash. This thread was what was wrong. My tractor is back to normal 100 percent becuase of the loctite and bolt torque. Thanks
