Me again with the old man, same cousin with my aunt and uncle who is a Canadian, taken on the east coast of England somewhere a lot earlier than the last one.
Cousin and tyhe rest of the family live in Western Australia about a three day drive away.

I love pics like this. The details tell you many things. Your Uncle is right handed for example.

Your father sounds like an all around tough guy, the kind that you would want around in a tight spot.

He was tougher than dirt. Good man.

Uncle used to drive with either hand while rolling a cigarette with the other, quite ambidextrous but to be honest I don't know if he is right handed or not and I assume you are going by the untanned ring on his left wrist.
Father was a paratrooper during WWII then joined the Police, Norfolk Constabulary, Uncle in the pic was a diesel mechanic.
I vowed never to have anything to do with law enforcement and became a forensic psychologist specialising in a narrow field of criminal activity, brother is a Civil Engineer, we were both told we were most likely to become factory workers when at school.
Mothers of course back then were home makers and rarely had a paying job.

Good stuff. My Dad could do the one hand roll as well. He was an Army truck driver stationed in England for four years during WWII. Then farmed his whole life. The Great Generation.
